The authors use the notion of the projection parallel to define a kind of orthogonality and then prove some of its elementary properties; see also [\textit{V. Balestro} et al., Aequationes Math. 91, No.~2, 201--236 (2017; Zbl 1365.52006)] and [\textit{T. Jahn}, J. Convex Anal. 26, No.~1, 49--76 (2019; Zbl 1421.46016)].
