The authors generalize the fixed point theorems for Banach-Pata-type contractions [\textit{V. Pata}, J. Fixed Point Theory Appl. 10, No. 2, 299--305 (2011; Zbl 1264.54065)] and Kannan-Pata-type contractions [\textit{M. Chakraborty} and \textit{S. K. Samanta}, ``A fixed point theorem for Kannan-type maps in metric spaces, Preprint, \url{arXiv:1211.7331}] from metric spaces to Kaleva-Seikkala type fuzzy metric spaces given in [\textit{O. Kaleva} and \textit{S. Seikkala}, Fuzzy Sets Syst. 12, 215--229 (1984; Zbl 0558.54003)].
