The ranges of nonlinear mappings of monotone type
E. Browder}, Proc. Sympos. Pure Math. 18 Part 2 (1976; Zbl 0327.47022); \textit{A. G. Kartsatos}, Nonlinear Anal. Theory, Methods, Appl. 11, 997-1004 (1987; Zbl 0638.47052); \textit{C. Morales}, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 87, 329-336 (1983; Zbl 0542.47042); \textit{W. Takahashi} und \textit{P. J. Zhang}, ibid. 132, No. 2, 548-557 (1988; Zbl 0659.47047)]. Theorem 2: ``Let \(T: X\to 2^{X^*}\) be maximal monotone. Suppose that there exists a positive constant \(r\) and \(x_ 0\in D(T)\) such that \[ | T(x_ 0)|< r\leq \lim_{\begin{smallmatrix} \| x\|\to \infty\\ x\in D(T)\end{smallmatrix}} | T(x)|. \] Then \(B(0, r)\subset R(T)\).
