Mappings preserving regular hexahedrons
From MaRDI portal
Publication:2368474
The authors prove the very interesting property that if a one-to-one mapping \(f:\mathbb{R}^3\to\mathbb{R}^3\) maps every regular hexahedron onto a regular hexahedron, then \(f\) is a linear isometry up to translation. The proof is at the same time simple and elegant.
