Abstract: In this paper, we study the weighted compositon operators on weighted Bergman spaces of bounded symmetric domains. The necessary and sufficient conditions for a weighted composition operator Wphi, psi to be bounded and compact are studied by using the Carleson measure techniques. In the last section, we study the Schatten p-class weighted composition operators.

Let \(\Omega\) be a bounded symmetric domain in \({\mathbb C}^n\) with Bergman kernel \(K(z,w)\) and let \(dV\) be the volume measure. For \(\lambda >0\) such that the function \(K(z,z)^\lambda\in L_1(\Omega,dV)\), let \(dV_\lambda(z)\) be the normalized measure of \(dv_\lambda(z)=K(z,z)^\lambda dV(z)\) defined on \(\Omega\). The authors characterize the boundedness and compactness of weighted composition operators \(W_{\varphi,\psi}\) on the weighted Bergman space \(A_\lambda^p(\Omega,dV_\lambda)\), \(1\leq p < + \infty\), of all analytic functions on \(\Omega\) lying in \(L_p(\Omega,dV_\lambda)\). Recall that \(W_{\varphi,\psi}(f)=\psi (f\circ \varphi)\) for \(f\in A_\lambda^p(\Omega,dV_\lambda)\). Such characterization is given in terms of the measure \(\mu_{\varphi,\psi,p}:=| \psi| ^pdV_\lambda \circ \varphi^{-1}\). The boundedness of \(W_{\varphi,\psi}\) is equivalent to \(\mu_{\varphi,\psi,p}\) being a Carleson type measure, while compactness is equivalent to \(\mu_{\varphi,\psi,p}\) being a vanishing Carleson type measure. The reader may consult the textbook [\textit{K.\,Zhu}, ``Spaces of holomorphic functions in the unit ball (Graduate Texts in Mathematics 226, New York/NY:\ Springer) (2005; Zbl 1067.32005)] for background on Carleson type measures. In the final section of the paper under review, necessary and sufficient conditions for \(W_{\varphi,\psi}\) to be in the Schatten \(p\)-class are given.
