An upper bound on the coarsening rate for mushy zones in a phase field model
From MaRDI portal
Publication:2387130
The authors consider a phase field model in non-dimensional form as \[ \epsilon u_t+\frac l 2 \phi_t=K\Delta u; \] \[ \alpha\epsilon\phi_t=\epsilon\Delta-\frac 1 \epsilon g(\phi)+2u \] in a cubic cell \(Q=[0,a]^n\) with periodic boundary conditions. They prove the time-averaged upper estimate for a volume-averaged negative entropy \(S(t)\).
