Abstract: We find optimal decay estimates for the Poisson kernels associated with various Laguerre-type operators L. From these, we solve two problems about the Poisson semigroup e−tsqrtL. First, we find the largest space of initial data f so that e−tsqrtLf(x)of(x) at a.e. x. Secondly, we characterize the largest class of weights w which admit 2-weight inequalities of the form |sup0<tleqt0|e−tsqrtLf|,|Lp(v)lesssim|f|Lp(w), for some other weight v.

The paper is a continuation of authors' work about Poisson integrals associated with certain differential operators \(L\), published in [the second author et al., Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 141, No. 4, 1323--1333 (2013; Zbl 1279.42012)] and [the first author et al., Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 368, No. 9, 6575--6600 (2016; Zbl 1332.42018)]. In this paper they find optimal decay estimates of the Poisson kernels \(e^{-t\sqrt{L}}(x,y)\) associated with various Laguerre-type operators \(L\). First they study 2-weight inequalities for the local maximal operator \(\mathcal{M}^{\mathrm{loc}}\) and apply these for heat integrals and then they study Poisson integrals by splitting them into a sum of two kernels, find estimates and then they transfer the results to other Laguerre operators.
