The author responds to some of the questions posed by M. Douglas, R. Reinbacher, and S.-T. Yau in a not-yet-published paper. Specifically, by using the Serre correspondence and elementary transformations as described in [\textit{T. Nakashima}, Asian J. Math. 6, No.~3, 567--578 (2002; Zbl 1039.14022)], the author constructs stable bundles on polarized Calabi-Yau manifolds satisfying certain numerical invariants. He then applies the procedure to produce stable bundles on complete intersection surfaces, the quintic threefold, and on a special octic hypersurface of the weighted \({\mathbb P}^{(1,1,2,2,2)}\). These examples answer the aforementioned questions negatively.
