The dilation factor of the Peano-Hilbert curve
From MaRDI portal
Publication:2460468
The author determines the maximum value of the square-to-linear ratio \[ \frac{|p(x)-p(y)|}{|x-y|} \] for the Peano-Hilbert curve \(p:I \mapsto I^2\), which maps the unit interval \(I =[0,1]\) to the unit square.
