P-twisted affine Lie algebra and its realizations by twisted vertex operators
In this article, the authors generalize a construction of \textit{J. Lepowsky} and \textit{R. L. Wilson} [Commun. Math. Phys. 62, 43--53 (1978; Zbl 0388.17006)] and \textit{I. Frenkel, J. Lepowsky} and \textit{A. Meurman} [Vertex operator algebras and the monster. Boston etc.: Academic Press (1988; Zbl 0674.17001)] of 2-twisted affine Lie algebra of \(A_1^{(1)}\) to \(p\)-twisted affine Lie algebra. The method is very similar to Frenkel-Lepowsky-Meurman's method. In fact, it is probably not noticed by the authors that their construction has been discussed in more detail and in much more general settings in [\textit{J. Lepowsky}, Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 82, 8295--8299 (1985; Zbl 0579.17010) and \textit{C. Dong} and \textit{J. Lepowsky}, Generalized vertex algebras and relative vertex operators. Basel: Birkhäuser (1993; Zbl 0803.17009)].
