New exact travelling wave solutions of two nonlinear physical models

The authors study the nonlinear partial differential equation \[ P(u, u_x, y_y, \dots, u_t, u_{xx}, u_{yy}, \dots)=0. \] Here, \(P\) is a polynomial in \(u\) and its various partial derivatives with respect to \(x, y, \dots\) and \(t\). The improved \(\tanh\) function method is proposed. In several cases the method coupled with symbolic computation may be used to obtain analytical representation of the solution of the problem. Using this technique, the authors have obtained new exact travelling wave solutions for two nonlinear physical models: the quantum Zakharov equations and the \((2+1)\)-dimensional Broer-Kaup-Kupershmidt system.
