Composition operators acting on N_p-spaces
The author introduces the \({\mathcal N}_p\), \(p>0,\) class of the analytic functions \(f\) on the unit disc \(D\) of the complex plane as those verifying that \[ \| f\| _{{\mathcal N}_p}=\sup_{a\in D} \Biggl(\int_D| f(z)| ^2 \biggl(1-{{| z-a| ^2}\over{| 1-\overline{a}z| ^2}}\biggr)^p\,dA(z) \Biggr)^{1/2}<+\infty. \] In the case \(1<p\), this class is the weighted Banach space commonly denoted \(H^\infty_v\) for the so-called standard weight \(v(z)=(1-| z| ^2)\). By using functions with lacunary Taylor series, it is shown for the case \(p\leq 1\) that different values for \(p\) give raise to different spaces. A~necessary and a related sufficient condition are provided in terms of the Nevanlinna generalized counting function \(N_{\varphi,2+p}\) for composition operators \(C_\varphi\) defined on \({\mathcal N}_p\) to be bounded.
