Extremal points without compactness in L^1()
Not locally convex spaces (metrizable topological linear spaces, locally bounded spaces, quasi-Banach spaces, etc.) (46A16) Radon-Nikodým, Kre?n-Milman and related properties (46B22) Spaces of measurable functions ((L^p)-spaces, Orlicz spaces, Köthe function spaces, Lorentz spaces, rearrangement invariant spaces, ideal spaces, etc.) (46E30)
Summary: We investigate the existence of extremal points and the Krein-Milman representation \(A= \overline{\operatorname{co}} \operatorname{Ext}A\) of bounded convex subsets of \(L^1(\mu)\) which are only closed with respect to the topology of \(\mu\)-a.e. convergence.
