It is shown that a typical \(\mathbb Z^2\)-action cannot be embedded in a flow. Multidimensional versions of this result are discussed as well.

- Embedding lattice actions in flows with multidimensional time
- Special representations of \({\mathbb{Z}}^n\)-actions
- Rank, rigidity of factors, and weak closure of measure-preserving \(\mathbb Z^n\)-actions
