Abstract: A linear map between (Banach) algebras is called 3-homomorphism if for each . We investigate 3-homomorphisms on Banach algebras with bounded approximate identities and establish in two ways that every involution preserving homomorphism between -algebras is norm decreasing.
The authors investigate 3-homomorphisms on Banach algebras with bounded approximate identities. The authors establish that every involution preserving 3-homomorphisms between C*-algebras are norm decreasing.
