Determining the locations and discontinuities in the derivatives of functions
From MaRDI portal
Publication:2483186
Given piecewise smooth functions often poses the question as how to detect their discontinuities and those of their derivatives. This paper proposes an iterative method for the detection of such points. It is based on local stencils of testing points. Examples and implementation issues are discussed as well.
