Some universal limits for nonhomogeneous birth and death processes
From MaRDI portal
Publication:2494542
For a nonhomogeneous birth and death process with periodic rates (interpreted as a queue length process) conditions for the existence of the limit of the expected queue length and of the average expected queue length over a period are given and upper bounds for the convergence rates are derived. Several numerical examples are given.
