In [\textit{M. K. Atakishiyeva, N. M. Atakishiyev} and \textit{K. B. Wolf}, ``Kravchuk oscillator revisted, J. Phys: Conference Series, 512, Art N 012031 (2014)] the authors proved that the simplest solutions of equations that define explicit forms of irreducible unitary representations of the group \(SO(3)\) can be found in terms of Kravchuk polynomials. In the present paper the authors describe explicit representations of \(SO(2,1)\) in terms of Meixner polynomials.
