Free surface shear flows induced by Marangoni and alternating electromagnetic forces
From MaRDI portal
Publication:2574007
In this paper there are studied both equivalent magnetic forces and the heat flux. They are derived in order to approximate the effect of radio-frequency alternating electric currents magnetic fields on conducting surfaces. Numerical calculations of the convection induced by electromagnetic and thermocapillary forces are carried out in order to depict typical flow patterns obtained in an axisymmetric liquid bridge surrounded by inductors.
