No-go theorem in spacetimes with two commuting spacelike Killing vectors

Abstract: Four-dimensional Riemannian spacetimes with two commuting spacelike Killing vectors are studied in Einstein's theory of gravity, and found that no outer apparent horizons exist, provided that the dominant energy condition holds.
