On the smoothness properties of a family of Bernoulli convolutions.
Die Verteilungsfunktion \(\beta(x)\) sei bzw. gleich 0, \(\frac12\), 1 in \(x \leqq - 1\), \(- 1 < x \leqq1\), \(1 < x\). Ihre Fourier-Stieltjes-Transformierte \(\int\limits_{-\infty}^\infty e^{iux}\,d\beta(x)\) ist \(\cos u\). Daher hat die unendliche Faltung (\(a > 1\)) \[ \sigma_a(x) = \beta(ax) * \beta(a^2x) * \beta(a^3x) *\cdots \] die Fourier-Stieltjes-Transformierte \[ L(u, \sigma_a)=\prod_{n=1}^\infty \cos\left(\frac u{a^n}\right).
