Abstract: We focus on the estimating problem of the infinity norm of the inverse of Nekrasov matrices, give new bounds which involve a parameter, and then determine the optimal value of the parameter such that the new bounds are better than those in L. Cvetkovic et al. (2013). Numerical examples are given to illustrate the corresponding results.

The paper is focused on estimating the infinity norm of the inverses of Nekrasov matrices. New bounds with a parameter are given, the optimal values of the parameter are determined in order that the new bounds are better than those obtained by \textit{L. Cvetković} et al. [Appl. Math. Comput. 219, No. 10, 5020--5024 (2013; Zbl 1283.15014)]. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the results obtained.
