Iterative Berechnung der reziproken Matrix.
Für die Auflösung eines Systems von \(k\) Gleichungen mit \(k\) Unbekannten \[ \mathfrak {A x} = \mathfrak b \] ist es bisweilen praktisch, statt der \(k\) Unbekannten die \(k^2\) Werte der reziproken Matrix \(\mathfrak R\) zu berechnen, nämlich dann, wenn die rechten Seiten des Gleichungssystems variabel sind, oder wenn \(\mathfrak A\) und damit \(\mathfrak R\) wie bei zyklischen oder schiefzyklischen Matrizen schon durch \(k\) Zahlen bestimmt sind. Für die Ausrechnung der reziproken Matrix wird eine Iterationsvorschrift gegeben: \[ \mathfrak R ^{(n+1)} = \mathfrak R ^{(n)} + \mathfrak R ^{(n)}(\mathfrak E - \mathfrak {A R}^{(n)}), \] für die die Möglichkeit einer sehr schnellen Konvergenz gezeigt wird. Außer einer notwendigen und hinreichenden Bedingung, deren Nachprüfung im allgemeinen allerdings viel Mühe macht, werden noch zwei hinreichende Konvergenzbedingungen gegeben, die sich leicht nachprüfen lassen. An einem Beispiel wird die Schnelligkeit der Konvergenz des Verfahrens gezeigt. (III 2.)
