Partial geometric designs with prescribed automorphisms

This paper presents some new results for partial geometric designs (PGDs). In particular, the Kramer-Mesner theorem (which provides a necessary condition for existence or non-existence of 2-designs with a specific automorphism group) is generalised so that it applies to PGDs, and some infinite classes of PGDs obtained by difference family methods are also obtained. The new PGDs obtained also give some strongly regular graphs, and the parameters for these graphs are given.
