Review text

The author considers combinatorial relations among triangulations of connected 2-manifolds with labelled vertices. For a given manifold, the f-vectors of its triangulations span a hyperplane; and for distinct manifolds these hyperplanes are parallel. These results are closely related to Euler's equation and the Dehn-Sommerville equations.
