Tubes around extrinsically symmetric submanifolds in \({\mathbb{R}}^ n\), \(S^ n\) or \(H^ n\) are always Dupin hypersurfaces. Here those hypersurfaces are singled out which are proper, i.e. whose principal curvatures have constant multiplicities. The list contains 2 infinite series and 6 sporadic examples.
