Weighted uniform densities
Let \(a_n\), \(n=1,2,\dots\), be the sequence of non-negative real numbers and assume \(\sum_{n=1}^Na_n\to\infty\) as \(N\to\infty\). For a set \(A\subset\mathbb N\) define the double sequence \(u_{k,N}=\frac{\sum_{k<n\leq k+N\atop n\in A}a_n}{\sum_{k<n\leq k+N}a_n}\). The limits \(\underline u_{a_n}=\lim_{k\to\infty}\liminf_{N\to\infty}u_{k,N}\) and \(\overline u_{a_n}=\lim_{k\to\infty}\limsup_{N\to\infty}u_{k,N}\) (if exist) the authors called weighted lower and upper uniform density of \(A\) which respect to the weighted sequence \(a_n\). This paper establishes \(\underline u_{a_n}\leq\underline u_{b_n}\leq\overline u_{b_n}\leq\overline u_{a_n}\) for some weighted sequences \(a_n\) and \(b_n\). The paper also establishes \(\underline u_{a_n}\leq\underline d_{b_n}\leq\overline d_{b_n}\leq\overline u_{a_n}\) using complicated assumptions, where \(\underline d_{b_n}\) and \(\overline d_{b_n}\) are classical weighted lover and upper asymptotic densities of \(A\). Similar comparison theorems for non-uniform weighted densities can be found in [Unif. Distrib. Theory 1, No. 1, 87--109 (2006; Zbl 1146.11005)] of the first author and \textit{M. Paštéka}.
