A sample of the results obtained is provided by Theorem 1.2: Let \(p>1,\) \(1/p+1/q=1,\) \thinspace\(\ 0\leq a_{2m+1}\leq a_{2m}\leq\cdots\leq a_{1}\) for \(m=0,1,\dots,s+1\) and \(0\leq b_{2n+1}\leq b_{2n}\leq\cdots\leq b_{1}\) for \(n=0,1,\dots,r+1\). If \(\overline{A}_{m}=\sum\nolimits_{k=1}^{2m+1}\left(-1\right) ^{k+1}a_{k}\) and \(\overline{B}_{n}=\sum\nolimits_{k=1} ^{2n+1}\left( -1\right) ^{k+1}b_{k},\) then \[\sum\nolimits_{m=0}^{s+1}\sum\nolimits_{n=0}^{r+1}\frac{pq\overline{A}_{m}\overline{B}_{n}}{q(m+1)+p(n+1)} \] \[ \leq\frac{q(s+1)+p(r+1)}{pq}\left(\sum\nolimits_{k=1}^{r+1}\left( b_{2k-1}-b_{2k}\right) ^{p}\left(r-k+3\right) \right) ^{1/p} \] \[ \times\left( \sum\nolimits_{k=1}^{s+1}\left( a_{2k-1}-a_{2k}\right)^{q}\left( s-k+3\right) \right) ^{1/q}.\] The main ingredients are the classical inequalities of Szegő, Young, and Hölder and the interchange of the order of summation.
