Abstract: Let the numbers and gamman denote egin{align*} alpha_n=sum_{k=0}^{n-1}{2kchoose k},quad eta_n=sum_{k=0}^{n-1}{2kchoose k}frac{1}{k+1}quad ext{and}quad gamma_n=sum_{k=0}^{n-1}{2kchoose k}frac{3k+2}{k+1}, end{align*} respectively. We prove that for any prime pge5 and positive integer n egin{align*} alpha_{np}&equiv left(frac{p}{3} ight) alpha_n pmod{p^2},\ eta_{np}&equiv egin{cases} displaystyle eta_n pmod{p^2},quad & ext{if pequiv1pmod3},\ -gamma_n pmod{p^2},quad & ext{if pequiv2pmod3}, end{cases} end{align*} where left(fraccdotpight) denotes the Legendre symbol. These two supercongruences were recently conjectured by Apagodu and Zeilberger.
