Some properties of row-adjusted meet and join matrices

Abstract: Let

. We define row-adjusted meet and join matrices on

by

(S)_{f_{1}, ..., f_{n}} = (f_{i} (x_{i} w e d g e x_{j}))

and

[S]_{f_{1}, ..., f_{n}} = (f_{i} (x_{i} v e e x_{j}))

. In this paper we determine the structure of the matrix

(S)_{f_{1}, ..., f_{n}}

in general case and in the case when the set

S

is meet closed we give bounds for

e x t r a n k (S)_{f_{1}, ..., f_{n}}

and present expressions for

d e t (S)_{f_{1}, ..., f_{n}}

and

(S)_{f_{1}, ..., f_{n}}^{- 1}

. The same is carried out dually for row-adjusted join matrix of a join closed set
