Abstract: Let be a -algebra and be a von Neumann algebra that both act on a Hilbert space . Let and be inner product modules over and , respectively. Under certain assumptions we show that for each mapping satisfying ||ip{f(x)}{f(y)}|-|ip{x}{y}| |leqphi(x,y)qquad (x,yin{mathcal M}), where is a control function, there exists a solution of the Wigner equation |ip{I(x)}{I(y)}|=|ip{x}{y}|qquad (x, y in {mathcal M}) such that |f(x)-I(x)|leqsqrt{phi(x,x)} qquad (xin {mathcal M}).
