The aim is to study a line relaxation method for viscous problems. The structure of the original Navier-Stokes solver does not allow a direct extension of the relaxation method to the viscous case. Therefore a new hybrid scheme has been developed: it offers features well suited for an efficient relaxation -- basically diagonal dominance -- and meanwhile preserves the solution accuracy thanks to a low numerical dissipation in the viscous zone.
