This computer assisted system is an introductory course in linear algebra. It consists of a CD-ROM accompanied by a paper bound textbook. The interactive text has six units: Systems of linear equations. Algebra of matrices, Linear spaces, Inner product spaces, Linear transformations, eigenspaces. The main components of each unit are a library of automated functions, interactive computer lessons, supervised laboratories, applications, and theory, accompanied by a stand alone adaptive testing system. The components are supported by a graphical user interface designed to allow the user to navigate smoothly through the various components of the text. The main screen of the interface provides access to the six units of the text, to the index of automated functions, to the table of contents and general help.
