Abstract: We prove the minimax equality for the spectral radius $ho(AB)$ of the product of matrices $AinmathcalA$ and $BinmathcalB$, where $mathcalA$ and $mathcalB$ are compact sets of non-negative matrices of dimensions $NimesM$ and $MimesN$, respectively, satisfying the so-called hourglass alternative.
