Abstract: We prove that a sequence of translates of a fixed cannot be an unconditional basis of for any . In contrast to this, for every , and unbounded sequence we establish the existence of a function and sequence such that forms an unconditional Schauder frame for . In particular, there exists a Schauder frame of integer translates for if (and only if) .
