Abstract: Let be a polar space of rank . Denote by the polar Grassmannian formed by singular subspaces of whose projective dimension is equal to . Suppose that is an integer not greater than and consider the relation , formed by all pairs such that and ( consists of all points of collinear to every point of ). We show that every bijective transformation of preserving is induced by an automorphism of and the same holds for the relation if and . In the case when is a finite classical polar space, we establish that the valencies of and are distinct if .
