Let \(\Pi\) be a polar space of rank \(n\geq 3\). Denote by \({\mathcal G}_k(\Pi)\) the polar Grassmanian formed by singular subspaces of \(\Pi\) whose projective rank is equal \(k\). Let \(k\leq n-2\) and consider the relation \({\mathcal R}_{i,j}\), \(0\leq i\leq j\leq k+1\), formed by all pairs \((X,Y)\in {\mathcal G}_k(\Pi)\times {\mathcal G}_k(\Pi)\) such that \(\dim_p(X^\bot\cap Y)=k-i\) and \(\dim_p(X\cap Y)=k-j\). The authors prove that every bijective transformation of \({\mathcal G}_k(\Pi)\), preserving \({\mathcal R}_{1,1}\) is induced by an automorphism of \(\Pi\), except the case where \(\Pi\) is a polar space of type \(D_n\) with lines containing precisely three points (Theorem 1). If \(k=n-t-1\), where \(4\leq 2t\leq n\), then it is proved that every bijective transformation of \({\mathcal G}_k(\Pi)\), preserving \({\mathcal R}_{0,t}\) is induced by automorphism of \(\Pi\) (Theorem 2).
