Abstract: Let varphi:mathbbDomathbbC be an integrable holomorphic function on the unit disk mathbbD and Dvarphi:mathbbDoT(mathbbD) the Teichm"uller disk in the universal Teichm"uller space T(mathbbD). For a positive t it is known that Dvarphi(t)o[muvarphi]inPMLb(mathbbD) as to1, where muvarphi is a bounded measured lamination representing a point on the Thurston boundary of T(mathbbD). We extend this result by showing that DvarphicolonmathbbDoT(mathbbD) extends as a continuous map from the closed disk overlinemathbbD to the Thurston bordification. In addition, we prove that the rate of convergence of Dvarphi(lambda) when lambdaoeiheta is independent of the type of the approach to eihetainpartialmathbbD.
