Duality and Serre functor in homotopy categories

Abstract: For a (right and left) coherent ring

, we show that there exists a duality between homotopy categories

{m a t h b b K}^{m b} (m m o d m b o x - A^{m o p})

and

{m a t h b b K}^{m b} (m m o d m b o x - A)

. If

A = L a m b d a

is an artin algebra of finite global dimension, this duality restricts to a duality between their subcategories of acyclic complexes,

{m a t h b b K}_{m a c}^{m b} (m m o d m b o x - L a m b d a^{m o p})

and

{m a t h b b K}_{m a c}^{m b} (m m o d m b o x - L a m b d a) .

As a result, it will be shown that, in this case,

{m a t h b b K}_{m a c}^{m b} (m m o d m b o x - L a m b d a)

admits a Serre functor and hence has Auslander-Reiten triangles.
