Perturbation theory of linear operators (47A55) Functions whose values are linear operators (operator- and matrix-valued functions, etc., including analytic and meromorphic ones) (47A56) Linear operators belonging to operator ideals (nuclear, (p)-summing, in the Schatten-von Neumann classes, etc.) (47B10)
Abstract: We derive strong estimates for Schatten norms of operator derivatives along paths of contractions and apply them to prove existence of higher order spectral shift functions for pairs of contractions.
