Abstract: We study topological, metric and fractal properties of the level sets S_{ heta}={x:r(x)= heta} of the function of asymptotic mean of digits of a number in its -adic representation, r(x)=limlimits_{n oinfty}frac{1}{n}sumlimits^{n}_{i=1}alpha_i(x) if the asymptotic frequency of at least one digit does not exist, were
u_j(x)=lim_{n oinfty}n^{-1}#{k: alpha_k(x)=j, kleqslant n}, :: j=0,1,2,3.
