Proportion functions defined on the set \({\mathcal G}\) of convex domains of the plane with rectifiable simple closed curve as boundary are studied and compared. The following proportion functions are characterized: \[ P_ 1(G)=[(R(G)/r(G))^ 2-1]^{1/2},\quad P_ 2(G)=[(D(G)/E(G))^ 2- 1]^{1/2},\quad P_ 3(G)=F(G)/E(G)^ 2, \] where R,r,D,E,F denote the radius of the circumcircle, radius of the incircle, diameter, width and area, respectively. For any fixed \(i=1,2,3\) it is shown that similarities are the only bijections T of the plane such that G(\({\mathcal G})\subset {\mathcal G},T^{-1}({\mathcal G})\subset {\mathcal G}\) and \(P_ i(T(H))=P_ i(G)\), for all G in \({\mathcal G}\).
