Pulsatile flow of a viscous fluid through a porous elastic vessel of variable cross-section---A mathematical model for haemodynamic flows
The authors consider oscillatory motion of incompressible Newtonian fluid in a thin elastic pipe of variable cross-section. Solutions for the linearized equations of motion composed of a steady and fluctuating part are deduced under some simplifying assumptions. Radial velocity distributions are ploted for different combinations of the motion parameters. We note that some mathematical computations and the reality of boundary conditions involved in the paper are questionable.
