In this paper, the non-real eigenvalue problems of indefinite \(q\)-Sturm-Liouville equation are investigated under suitable boundary condition. By using estimates of non-real eigenvalues for the regular indefinite Sturm-Liouville problem (see [\textit{B. Xie} and \textit{J. Qi}, J. Differ. Equations 255, No. 8, 2291--2301 (2013; Zbl 1291.34052)]), bounds on imaginary parts and absolute values of non-real eigenvalues for this problem are obtained.
