The authors study the geometric series \(G_n(x) = 1 + x + x^2 + \ldots + x^{n-1}\) over a field of characteristic zero. The main result of the paper is the theorem that describes when the polynomial \(G_n(x^p)\) divides the polynomial \(G_m(x^q)\).
