Abstract: Let partialmathcalQ be the boundary of a convex polygon in mathbbR2, ealpha=(cosalpha, sinalpha) and be a basis of mathbbR2 for some alphain[0,2pi) and phi:partialmathcalQomathbbR2 be a continuous, finitely piecewise linear injective map. We construct a finitely piecewise affine homeomorphism v:mathcalQomathbbR2 coinciding with phi on partialmathcalQ such that the following property holds: |langleDv,ealphaangle|(mathcalQ) (resp. ) is as close as we want to inf|langleDu,ealphaangle|(mathcalQ) (resp. ) where the infimum is meant over the class of all BV homeomorphisms u extending phi inside mathcalQ. This result extends that already proven in [14] in the shape of the domain.
