Abstract: A function from a subset of to is continuous at the origin, if and only if for all continuous paths with . The continuity of can, however, be characterized by a much smaller class of paths. We show that the class of all paths fulfilling , , and is sufficient. Further, given any sequences and in , such that , , and for all , we show that there exist a path of this class, such that and for an infinite number of .
