Abstract: We establish local existence and an upper bound for blow-up time of local solutions of a semilinear heat equation involving a forcing term that depends only upon the domain OmegasubseteqmathbbRn. The vector fields X1,dots,Xm used to formulate the problem satisfy the H"ormander condition. In the subelliptic heat equation, working with the self-adjoint operator DeltaX=−sumi=1mXiastXi, we provide lower bounds for Fujita exponent by proving some nonexistence results for global solutions under an assumption on the vector fields.
