The authors investigate a broad class of quasilinear isotropic parabolic equations on smooth metric measure spaces, incorporating Dirichlet or Neumann boundary conditions when the boundary is non-empty. They establish precise estimates for the modulus of continuity of solutions to these equations. Moreover, they derive optimal lower bounds for the first Dirichlet eigenvalue of a class of homogeneous quasilinear operators, including non-variational operators. A comparison result plays a crucial role in the proofs.
