A note on unbounded derivations of GB^-algebras and radii of convergence
The authors discuss to what extent a result by \textit{O.~Bratteli} and \textit{D.~W. Robinson} [Commun. Math. Phys. 42, 253--268 (1975; Zbl 0302.46043)] on unbounded derivations on C*-algebras can be extended to the setting of GB*-algebras (a certain type of locally convex *-algebras over the complex numbers). Their arguments rely on, and partly extend, observations by \textit{L.~Oubbi} [Bull. Belg. Math. Soc. - Simon Stevin 9, No.~2, 279--292 (2002; Zbl 1042.46023)] and by \textit{V.~G. Troitsky} [Panam. Math. J. 11, No.~3, 1--35 (2001; Zbl 1006.47001)] on spectral radii formulas depending on some generalized Neumann series. The question whether the extension works for all GB*-algebras remains open.
